Re:The Efficacy of 【SAFE CARE SC-1000】Cleaning Fluid

As mentioned in a previous report, in December last year, in response to the request concerning the cleaning fluid listed above, " Can it be used for bilge maintenance," the products was used but there were no marked results worthy of special mention.

Subsequently, the left-over fluid has been used for a variety of "miscellaneous" cleaning tasks,where it is displaying exceptional efficaly.

On this ship, we are using a number of detergents [Magic Clean S],[Neos A],[Kerosene],[Mamaremon], etc.;however, with regard to the cleaning and removal of oil-based substances(degreasing),this cleaning fluid (SC-1000) is superior to all of these products.

We had been using [Magic Clean] for the cleaning of burnt-on oils from machinery, Iubricants, greases, etc. and while it dose have cleaning efficacy, this detergent damages painted and rubber surfaces, requires a second wiping with distilledwater, and necessitates the use of protective wear (goggles,rubber gloves).

In this regard, the cleaning fluid listed above (SC-1000) is non-toxic and protects against oxidation, and consequently requires no second wiping or protective wear. Additionally, because , unlike cleaners such as [NeosA] [Kerosene] and the like,it is non-flammable and has no offensive smell and therefore can be used with peace of mind in the engine room and other hot-temperature cofined spaces.

Furthermore, we had been using [Mamaremon] for the removal of the oil film that formed on the deck during rainy weather when docked at pier, but, while it is effective, due to its toxicity, there are many terminals that have banned its use. However, the cleaning fluid listed above (SC-1000), while possessing equivalent dispersal capability, is non-toxic and promotes biodegradation of the oils and therefore contributes to protection of the enviroment.

As we have only a little of this cleaning fluid (SC-1000) left, we are currently using it primarily for the cleaning of machinery in the engine area and filter cleaning ;however, we believe that it can be used for deck degreasing, the cleaning of living quarters, and a great variety of other cleaning applications.
